2010 Awards 2007/8/9 Winners
THE RESULTS!!!!!!!
As President of Company Women, I am proud to let you all know how the Awards Ceremony evening went
Last Friday the 20th November the prestigious Hotel Intercontinental at the La Torre Golf Resort in Murcia played host to a glittering awards ceremony to rival the Oscars.
Company Women is a multi national dynamic networking organization open to all female entrepreneurs, businesswomen, employers and employees. Established in 2005, the award ceremony has become the talk of the Costa’s and is eagerly anticipated by women and men alike as a moment to celebrate the achievement of women in the workplace and indeed businesses here in Spain in general.
This year the award ceremony has been especially important due to the difficult economic climate. All the nominees, the finalists and especially the winners have succeeded in the face of extreme adversity and thoroughly deserve the recognition they have received.
The evening began with at 6.30 with the opening of the box containing the votes in the secret ballot for a very special award, the Company Women Top Banana Award, which was won by Natasha Moon from Hair OTT.
This was followed by a Cava reception and photos, kindly taken by Andrew J. Filipowicz of AJ Photography (www.ajphotography.eu), who was the official photographer for the event.
A fabulous Gala Dinner followed, then it was bated breath as the host Jane Cronin began the business end of the evening.
The results were as follows:
Bright Idea for Innovation (Presented by 2008 winner Jenni Ray)- Ena Cummings from Golden Keys Properties
Customer Focus (Presented by 2008 winner Paloma Paris)- Louise Bradley from Lyndyloos Wedding Services
Business Excellence (Presented by 2008 winner Carolyn Ford)- Carolyn Shedden, founder of Pocket Pages.
Carolyn Shedden was barely able to pause for breath, as she then went on to win the coveted
Overall Company Woman of the Year Award 2009.

I was so proud to be involved in such a prestigious and inspiring awards ceremony. It is exhilarating to see so many strong, successful candidates for these awards and we hope that the winners will be an inspiration to not only female businesswomen but also the business community as a whole. I would also like to thank the Companies who generously made donations, which are Café Golf, Rocajuna Restaurant, Glamstraps, Abaco Asesores Legal and Tax Specialists and 121 Car Rental.
This has been an "annus horiblus" for so many people, I am delighted in the positivity dedication and effort displayed by all the nominees, finalists, and winners, and by so many women here in Spain who have not yet had the recognition they deserve.
