The 2008 Awards
The Company Women of the Year Awards 2008, sponsored by ABACO Legal & Tax.
Company Women announced the plans for the 2008 awards at their third year anniversary lunch on 5th June.
Local legal and tax experts ABACO are supporting Company Women as lead sponsor of the only awards for businesswomen held in the region. 85% of ABACO's workforce are female, so it will come as no surprise that they are supporting female entrepreneurs. Their talented, multi-lingual team of Lawyers and Legal Executives work in three offices throughout the region (Torrevieja, Alicante and Vera).
There are Five Award Categories this year!
The Bright Idea Award for Innovation
For women that have had a great idea and implemented it. A pioneer, broken new ground, spotted a gap in the market and led the way with their creative
idea.
Woman in the Community
For women who play an active and invaluable role in their community. This role may be performed on a voluntary basis or salaried. Interest is especially welcome from the following areas, charity work, leisure or environment.
Start-up Success Star sponsored by RTA Europe, Business Sales Specialists
For women that have set up a new venture recently (under 2 years) and are already turning heads with their success.
Customer Service Ambassador
For women in any position in any organisation who consistently deliver exceptional levels of high customer service
Business Achiever sponsored by 1car1, car and van rental
For women that have been successfully running a business for two years or more.
The overall winner – Company Woman of the Year 2008, in memory of Martha Davies, will be chosen from the winners of each of the above five categories.
As well as the title, the overall winner will also win a year's worth of hairdressing from Torrevieja's leading hair salon, Hair OTT. Yes, that's a trip to the hairdressers every 6 weeks for a cut and colour, totally free of charge for a year! Natasha Moon, Owner of Hair OTT and Company Women member commented, "Being well groomed is essential for today's businesswoman. I simply had to support these Awards and what they stand for, celebrating female entrepreneurs. Anything we can do to help the overall winner look and feel her best throughout her 12 month reign, is something we're honoured to do!"
The overall winner will also get a Mercedes for a week the next time they visit the UK thanks to 1car1, car and van rental. Either an E or M class will be at the disposal of the winner, for a full seven days, free of charge*. Matt Carter, UK & Global Reservations Manager commented, " I've been extremely impressed with how Company Women operate as a group.
